It is with deep grief and sorrow that the artistic ensemble Lúčnica announces, that prof. Štefan Nosáľ, the artistic leader and choreographer of Lúčnica, passed away on Saturday night, on the 22nd of July 2017, aged 90.
His almost 70-year lasting continuous artistic leadership of Lúčnica, an ensemble representing the original national culture at the highest level of its genre among the best folk ensembles in the world, is considered unique, both by the experts and the broad public.
Štefan Nosáľ will live forever in the hearts of the big family called Lúčnica as well as in the minds of the people of Slovakia.
