August, the 3rd after 7 p.m. – Lúčnica performance under the ski-springing platform at ŠTRBSKÉ PLESO
After 30 years the Slovak and world legend returns back to our grand mountains. Right under the ski-springing platform, a location which hosted more than 100 thousand spectators in the 1970 World Ski Cup opening, the Lúčnica members are going to show the visitors and Tatra locals the artistry that has been admired all around the world for nearly 70 years.
THE PROGRAM:
July, the 31st: Lúčnica travels from the Main Train Station in Bratislava to Štrbské Pleso
August, the 1st: Lúčnica members climb at the top of the Kriváň mountain
August, the 2nd: Singing around the mountain lake Štrbské pleso (approximately at 4 p.m.) with the members of Lúčnica, the folk ensemble Vagonár and other folk groups and bands from the Tatra region
August, the 2nd – the 4th: A Dancing School of Lúčnica as a part of the Bear Days at Hrebienok
August, the 3rd: Lúčnica performance under the ski-springing platform at Štrbské Pleso (after 7 p.m.)
The opening program participants: Vocal group Strbän from Štrba and Veseličky from Liptovské Sliače; children folk ensembles Ďumbier from Liptovský Mikuláš, Jadlovček from Margecany, Letnička from Poprad and Pramienok from Liptovský Mikuláš
